- 2 pounds of chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (preferably Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Using paper towels, thoroughly pat the chicken wings dry.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Lay the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through.
- Once crispy and cooked through, toss the hot wings in the prepared buffalo sauce until coated.
- Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Experiment with different hot sauces for unique flavors.
Customize the spice level according to your preference.
Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
