Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp – If you’re using frozen shrimp, make sure to thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or place them in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. Once thawed, pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Step 2: Heat the Oil – In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  • Step 3: Add Garlic – Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  • Step 4: Cook the Shrimp – Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
  • Step 5: Finish and Serve – Stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
