Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of sirloin steak (or your preferred cut)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the Marinade – In a medium-sized bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside a portion for later use.
- Step 2: Marinate the Steak – Cut the sirloin into bite-sized pieces and place in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, seal, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
- Step 3: Cook the Steak Bites – Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. If using cornstarch, mix it with reserved marinade and add during the last minute of cooking.
- Step 4: Serve – Transfer steak bites to a platter, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
